9221 SE Civic Center Pl, Port St. Lucie, FL 34952
You’re invited to enjoy the Civic Center’s quarterly art exhibition and meet guest artist Claire Smith at our artist’s reception in the gallery on Thursday, June 13 from 6 to 8 p.m. The reception and exhibition are free and open to the public.
Claire, a South Africa native and resident of Vero Beach, estimates that nearly 100 of her paintings will be on display, including portraits, landscapes and abstract florals. The original pieces, created in a range of oils, acrylics and mixed media, represent over one decade of Claire’s work and reflect her unique perspective as an African woman of Jewish heritage. “This show is a tapestry of things, people, places and moods that have interested me over the years,” she says.
The exhibition will be on display at the Civic Center Art Gallery from June 14 through September 3, daily from 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m., except when the Center is closed for event use. “This is a wonderful gallery space and an incredible opportunity, ” says Claire. “I am humbled and honored to be there.”
