The Taste of St. Lucie, presented by Big Brothers Big Sister sand Treasure Coast Lexus, celebrates 19 years of showcasing exceptional culinary talent from all over the county .The food festival will be hosted on the grounds of Treasure Coast Lexus this year, adding new flavor to this beloved event. On Wednesday, April 24th 2019 from 5:30 – 8:00 PM at Treasure Coast Lexus (5121 South US 1), restaurants and food trucks will offer fork-fulls of flavor to benefit one-to-one mentoring for our community’s youth. The festival will feature locally and nationally known beverages and delicious desserts to complete the dining experience.

“We are so excited for this year’s Taste of St. Lucie, ”said CEO Stacey Watson-Mesley, “we will have the opportunity to share a wonderful ‘foodie’ experience with neighbors and visitors alike all while championing the positive and powerful impact mentoring provides our children.”

Tickets will allow for tastings from 25+ vendors and are now available online a twww.tasteofstucie.org. Prices are $40.00 (single ticket) or $75.00 for two. Additionally, there is a new reduced ticket price of $35.00 for Hometown Heroes including active duty military, first responders, veterans and school employees who will need to show proper ID at the door. Thereareonly500ticketstothisyear’sevent.If tickets are still available, they will be $45.00 at the door.

TheTaste of St. Lucie benefits our one-to-one mentoring programs which serve over 1,400 children and youth. Big Brothers Big Sisters offers three one-to-one mentoring programs which help improve academic growth and support social/emotional skills. BBBS Mentors spend time helping young people read, improve academics, visit cultural institutions, sporting events and of course, trying new food. “Mentoring benefits both the mentor and the child as both gain a meaningful experience rooted in what ittruly means to be a community,” said Watson-Mesley, “and events like Taste of St. Lucie allow us to share this joy while also celebrating the businesses who make St. Lucie special.”
