National Trails Day Florida Night Hiking 101

  • Saturday, June 5 from 7 to 9 p.m.:  National Trails Day™  Florida Night Hiking 101 at Ancient Oaks/Weldon B. Lewis Park, 4650 Oleander Ave., Fort Pierce. Celebrate National Trails Day™ on an exceptionally beautiful St. Lucie County preserve at night. Under a waning moon, we’ll be looking and listening for the presence of wild creatures great and small while practicing safe night-hiking techniques.

Programs are usually limited to eight people helping to allow participants to immerse themselves into the county’s beautiful natural areas. Based on current best practices, masks are recommended for those who have not been vaccinated.

Programs target ages 12 and older unless otherwise noted.  All minors must be accompanied by an adult. Proper footwear and water are required for all programs and please leave pets at home.
