We celebrate the service of all Veterans this Veteran’s Day in St. Lucie. Check out where you can go to learn, explore and honor the history and present day service of our U.S. veterans below.
National Navy UDT-SEAL Museum
Visit the National Navy UDT-SEAL Museum in Fort Pierce and explore and learn about the history of the Navy SEALs and then head outside to the Navy SEAL Obstacle Course. Jump, climb, and race against the clock as you challenge yourself and friends to a test fit for a true Navy SEAL.
Veterans Memorial Park of Port St. Lucie
Established in 1984, this memorial honors various branches of the military. Guests can view the Vietnam Veterans wall, WWII Memorial, Korean Memorial and Purple Heart Memorial. There is also a Ceremonial Pentagon and American flag with benches surrounding the memorial for those to take their time and pay respects.
Veterans Memorial Park of Fort Pierce
“In Honor of our St. Lucie County sons and daughters who paid the ultimate price during times of war.” This memorial, which was reconstructed in 2016, is engraved with the names of the fallen soldiers from World War I through the Afghanistan and Iraq wars.
At the St. Lucie County Regional History Center, visitors can wander through historical scenes of the Treasure Coast. The center also maintains a WWII exhibit which includes uniforms, photographs, and copies of the USNATB-Fort Pierce base newspaper, the Mock-Up. A special monument was dedicated in January 1993 to mark the fiftieth anniversary of the base and to honor those men and women who served at that site.
We salute all veterans for serving in the proud and honorable tradition of the United States military.
