HISTORY

Built in 1923, the Sunrise Theatre of Downtown Fort Pierce is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The Sunrise originally opened its doors as the largest theater on Florida’s East Coast between Jacksonville and Miami and since first opening, (and closing due to the decline in the economy in the eighties) the theater has been beautifully renovated to its original splendor with state-of-the-art sound and lighting.
