1. Heathcote Botanical Gardens
Bring your friendly pup with you to stroll amongst the beautiful garden rooms at Heathcote Botanical Gardens.
Owners are responsible for reviewing the establishment’s pet policy before visiting.
2. Savannas Preserve State Park
Go for a hike and bring the dog along with you as you explore the last remnants of the Florida East Coast Savannas.
3. Walton Rocks Beach
Walton Rocks Beach is a dog’s paradise. This beach is well-loved by the local dogs and their owners; here, dogs can run free with out a leash.
4. Sailfish Brewery
Yes, dogs are welcome at this pet-friendly brewery in Downtown Fort Pierce! Come stay a while for Yappy Hour.
Second Street Bistro
Grab a bite to eat in Downtown and bring the pup along for some company. Pet Policy: Dogs are allowed on their leash on the back patio portion of the restaurant. Other dog friendly restaurants include: Cobb’s Landing, Archie’s Seabreeze, Tillmans Famous BBQ, West End Grill, The Tin Fish & Berry Fresh Cafe.
Dog Parks
There are two popular dog parks in St. Lucie. If your pup wants to make a few friends during their vacation, take them to Lyngate Dog Park in Port St. Lucie where they can play with other dogs their size. If your dog is the outdoorsy type, take them on a hike at the Savannas Recreation Area Dog Park in Fort Pierce and then let them run around off-leash at one of the two fenced areas.
